In addition, John Kalil is also committed to addressing the retirement challenges that today’s baby boomers may face. Early on in his career, John recognized that many of his clients were confused by their Social Security retirement claiming choices with even fewer knowing what to do upon reaching their eligibility date. He quickly discovered that many of his colleagues were downplaying the subject of Social Security almost entirely and often dismissed it as “nothing important,” when asked by their clients.

As a result, he developed a Social Security information program and continues to volunteer much of his spare time making similar presentations to businesses, organizations and groups wanting to know more about this particular topic. The popular one-hour program entitled, “Getting Serious About Social Security” has been presented across the Upstate New York region with the goal in mind of helping pre-retirees make a more informed Social Security claiming decision. There currently is no cost to host this event or for guests to attend.
